Boracay 4-Day Itinerary 2011! - DAY 4 (via Iloilo)

AND THIS IS DAY 4. Breakfast at Tan's Guesthouse - Main Building rooftop. Ginisa ampalaya, fried rice, chicken adobo, and your choice of coffee, milo or orange juice is on the buffet. We braced ourselves for long travel back to Manila via Iloilo.

We basically follow same route from our Day 1, this time from Caticlan Port we took a bus to Kalibo - Bus Station (around 1hr travel) then, we rode a bus again to Iloilo. And the looong land travel begun.... mountains and rice fields was all we can see.

We arrived at Iloilo City Bus Station. We had our lunch at Andok's Lechon Manok. Our flight going back to Manila was around 6pm. So, I suggest to roam around first before we go to Iloilo airport.

We went to this nearest plaza,  in front of a church, the Nuestra Senora dela Candelaria. They said Iloilo has nice to go to old Spanish Churches! Thank god got the chance to see one...

A view of the whole plaza

After resting for a few minutes, we headed to SM City Iloilo. Bought some butter scotchpasalubong. Had some coffee at Starbucks. Then we headed to the SM Van Terminal, rode a van to Iloilo International Airport. A few minutes, less than 30min i think, we arrived at Iloilo International Airport. Clean and spacious lobby welcomed us. Really a very tiring day,  and then Zest Air announced 6hrs delayed flight due to airport traffic in Manila. Great. Our supposed to be 6pm flight to Manila became 10pm. We arrived at Manila Domestic Airport around 11pm already.

Boracay 4-Day Itinerary 2011 - DAY 3 (land trip)

THIS IS DAY 3. We checked out at La Carmela de Boracay and transferred to Tan's Guesthouse near D' Mall. Their apartment is new and clean. Accommodation is good, plus, they also offer buffet breakfast. We are to take an ATV Ride so we headed out to the main road and rode a tricycle (fare is P70) to the ATV Rental station. For 1hr route, P350/pax. The Aviary to the highest peak in Boracay.

Be careful not to get carried away with fun and excitement an ATV ride gives, do not race on the road. Do not over-take and change lane. Test drive your ATVs before leaving the premise. Check you breaks. And listen well during briefing. =)

The Everland Aviary is owned by Korean couple...

A view from The Peak!

This activity is fun and the view from the peak is breath taking! Super! =)

Boracay 4-Day Itinerary 2011 - DAY 2

THIS IS DAY 2.  We woke up early for our Island Trip call time, 9am.

Allan B Fun Tour are more organized, they gathered us, around 20 people in one area then when the boat was ready we walked down to Station 3 (port) and hop on with our sunglasses, bottled water, cameras and SUNSCREEN. Below is the list of our activities:

Tour Package cost - Php 700

  • Snorkelling - Fish Frenzy here! P20 additional fee for the fish protected area.
  • Crocodile Island - snorkelling
  • Lunch - buffet lunch is included on our tour package
    • Shrimps, grilled fish and liempo, pinakbet, pork barbeque, pancit bihon, banana, sodas, beers others i don't remember. - all is well. enough to feed your hunger!
  • Crystal Cove - additional fee of P200 for entrance, tour inside the resort.
    • Cave exploration (3 caves)
    • Sightseeing
  • Puka Beach - THIS ONE IS THE BEST! wished we stayed here longer.. the long stretch of white fine sand beach shore was breath taking. very quiet, serene (you'll here different birds whistling around), love the sea, not too cold, current not that strong, it was awesome!
We went back to Station 3 (port) around mid afternoon. We we're suppose to try Reef Walking but the Island Tour itself lasted for 6 hours, and best time to do Reef Walking is in the morning while the current under is not that strong and the fishes are all out looking for food. You will also have to undergo a briefing on how to use the helmet and for sign languages But still you may wanna check that out.

Paraw Sailing is also a must do in Boracay. This would cost P1400 - 1600 depending on how you haggle for discount.  Best is to do this with a huge group so you can divide the cost among yourselves and pay for your share.

Dinner time again we scout for best buffet along the beach front. There were also available commercial restos, and fast food chains around Station 1 and 2.

We decided to try spa massage services in Boracay, but all was full except for this one. Located at Station 2, 2nd floor of a boutique (sorry, i forgot the name) it was not bad at all. we waited for a while, and then all is well, relaxing and well suited for our tired aching muscles...cost P250 each person.

I was too sleepy for another nightout so we went back to our hotel right after and had a good night of sleep.

Boracay 4-Day Itinerary 2011 - DAY 1

BORACAY. Is the hottest place during summer and bet most of you would agree with me, right? :) Well, let me share with you my experience in this place last May 2011.

I took the initiative to plan for our Boracay itinerary, I know I can’t rely on my BF since he’s busy with his work and I am the one who’s gonna handle the reservations with hotels and airlines as well. So, here's our 4-days Boracay itinerary, somehow I could give you idea on your next or first trip, like mine.

THIS IS DAY 1.

We stayed at La Carmela de Boracay at Station 2. we checked in around 530pm, welcome drinks was served for us.The service was great. Buffet breakfast has a line of homey cooked food, perfect to help you last the whole morning of jump-packed activities. Our room was the best! The Ocean View Suite 1 if you haven't got any hotel reservations, I highly recommend to booked at La Carmela simply the best Class AA resort. Plus! with their affordable rates and first class service.

Dinner time, we started to roam the beachfront where all buffet caterers lined up, with display of those mouth-watering lobsters, crabs, barbeque, and a lot more!  We went for a grilled bangus and liempo  and ensaladang talong. A meal would cost, P160/person with rice. Drinks not yet included. Ensaladang talong is P60 extra rice is P12. All was good I love the ensalada it complements the grilled fish and meat. J

Then we went to Club Paraw in Station 1 for a couple of drinks. Cocktail drinks would cost P120-190. It was a bit early for a party so we just enjoyed the music and watched a couple of drunk men, dancing to the tune of some 80’s music that I didn’t know. Tired and sleepy we headed back to our hotel. J

Ooops! on our way back to La Carmela, we saw fire dancers! A must see in Boracay...
